Hello all, I am hoping that someone here will be able to help me. I have a friend that as a devotion to Stella Maris, and would like me to make a rosary. Would anyone happen to know where I can find a rosary center of her? I have googled Stella Maris and Mary of the Sea and have found nothing. I did find one in sterling but she can't afford that one and would ratherone in bronze. Any help in the search would be greatly appreciated. God's Peace, Lorraine

Hi Lorraine,
Stella Maris, Our Lady Star of the Sea is such a lovely title of our Blessed Mother. We have a rosary by this title for sale on our webmart here: http://praytherosaryrosegarden.vstore.ca/product_info.php/pName/star-of-the-sea/cName/glass-beads We have used a traditional center piece which is similar to the traditional depiction of Our Lady under this title, and used blue and crystal beads as a suggestion of the sea.
Lewis & Co. carries the center we used here: https://www.rosaryparts.com/pages/store/10Browse.asp described as Base Metal Cut Out Miraculous Center
Via Rosary shows a rosary with Our Lady Star of the Sea medal attached, but uses a traditional center, and then another with Stella Maris center. You might contact them to try and locate this center piece. http://www.viarosa.com/VR/StellaMaris/Rosaries+Chaplets.html
You might consider making a chaplet for your friend, using the Stella Maris Medal. Stella Maris Medal sold here:
Tip: When searching for unusual parts, add the word "vintage" or "Italy' to your search, or be specific, such as "bronze" or "pewter" Let us know how you do. God bless, - MaryT

Thank you for the information. I do like the idea of the chaplet. I have also emailed Via Rosary, to see if they would kindly let me know where they purchased theirs from. I will keep you posted on the progress of this mission. God Bless - Lorraine

Still no luck. The one company that I did find, is out of them and do not know when they will be getting more. I am almost tempted to have my mother in law sculpt a very small mold and cast it myself using the that sterling silver clay. I will keep you posted.

Oh too bad Lorraine...we've been looking for you also. We did find a beautiful brooch on ebay here. Wondering if you could have it soldered by a pro to add the three loops and make it a rosary center. Or do the same on an inexpensive Stella Maris Medal. We've never worked with the clay you mention...would it hold up under wear and tear? Have you mentioned your quest to Saint Anthony? Prayers from us for you for your "mission."

I have not mentioned my request to St. Anthony. Thank you for reminding me to do that. I have not worked with that clay yet. I have only read about it. Might just have to give it a try and let you know how it works. Thanks for you searching efforts as well. God's Peace,
