We received a question by email, but for some reason, were unable to reply to the address provided. We thought it best to post the answer here.

Question:

"Why do you say to never mail a blessed rosary? Sometimes people send me their blessed rosaries for repair. I do not think there is anything wrong with that."

In answer, we have updated the information as follows, provided on our Shipping Tips page:

"Never Mail Blessed Rosaries! Or any other blessed article.

Include a little note with your package indicating the

Rosaries have not yet been blessed by a priest.

** We offer this advice particularly for rosaries

which will be delivered in countries outside the US hostile to the Christian faith.

If the blessed rosaries should fall into the wrong hands,

they could be desecrated.

Missionary priests can always bless the rosaries when they receive them.

There is no harm in mailing a blessed rosary for repairs,

or any other blessed article

when you are certain of who will be receiving them."

Thanks for a great question vmulloy. Sorry we could not reply personally.
