Dear ones all, Please visit our Mother of Perpetual Help feastday page at the apostolate site. Join us in honoring my most special patron. If time and space would permit, I could relate innumerable stories of how my Mother of Perpetual Help has come to my assistance, as a rosary maker, in times of illness, and when urgent and heavenly aid was needed. A recent event was the "healing" of my knee. I had suffered a torn miniscus, very painfull. Unable to walk and requring surgery. I had no medical insurance to pay for the surgery, and my life had virtually come to a standstill. I obtained, in a most curious and round-about-way, information about a tiny sacramental promoted by the Redemptorist monks in Scotand. It was a tiny postage stamp sized image of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. One was directed to dissolve the little image in water, and drink it! I had never heard of such a thing before! But with great confidence in Our Lady's help, I did just that. I also applied the water directly to my knee, and asked Our Lord, through Our Lady's intercession, that my knee might be restored to at least be able to walk, even if the pain remained. Within days, I felt almost complete relief. Repeat MRI shows the miniscus is still torn, but I am able to kneel, walk and carry on the duties of my life with very little discomfort. Thanks be to God! I was born on Our Mother of Perpetual Help feast day, June 27, when my own dear mother petitioned Heaven to be given a little girl, after the birth of my 6 older brothers. You can read the details on our apostolate page. Our Mother of Perpetual Help has always come to my aid. I can only humbly recommend all to turn to your Mother, and honor her especially on this great feast of the Church. Our Lady of Perpetula Help, pray for us! Thanks and God bless, - MaryT

O Mother of Perpetual Help, grant that I may always invoke thy most powerful name. For thy name is help in life, salvation in death. Ah, Mary most pure, Mary most sweet, let thy name henceforth be the breath of my life. Tarry not O Lady to come to my help whenever I call upon thee: for in all the wants which shall befall me, I will never cease to call upon thee, and to repeat again and again: Mary, Mary! What comfort, what sweetness, what confidence does my soul feel at the very mention of thy name. In the very thought of thee, I thank the Lord for having given thee for my good this name so sweet, so amiable, so powerful. But merely to pronounce thy name is not enough for me. I will do so out of love: I wish that love may remind me to call thee always my Mother of Perpetual Help. Amen.
