Hello Members, We are happy to let you know we have added content to our Pro-Life Rosary page. We received a question about the multi-colored beads used for the formal pro-life rosary, called the "Right to Life" Rosary. Many of you are members of Our Lady's Rosary Makers. They now offer a kit with supplies to make 100 Right to Life rosaries, which includes all the various color beads, crucifixes and a bolt of cord. You can find it here. We have added illustrations and directions for how to make this lovely rosary, along with the prayer intentions for each decade. If you are active in the Pro-Life Movement, these rosaries would be the perfect "tool" to include in your "arsenal" of weapons to defeat the scourge of abortion which plagues our nation, and the world. We hope to offer a pro-life kit soon on our Rose Garden store.
Thanks for your continued partitipation here at Rosary Makers Guide. May God bless you! - Mary & Chris & Rachel

I have been making this rosary for quite a while now, but someone recently asked if this particular rosary has ecclesiastical approval. Does anyone know?

Thanks for a great question Karen. You may read here the story of the foundation of the pro-life rosary prayer intentions in The Catholic Herald, official newspaper of the diocese of Sacramento, CA., under the direction of Bishop Richard Garcia and the Oblates of Saint Joseph. While "eccesiastical approval" is not specifically mentioned, the prayer intentions certainly meet with the Bishops's approval. The prayer intentions should not replace the traditional form of the rosary, the prayers or the meditations upon the Mysteries. One should add the pro-life intentions to the traditional recitation of the Holy Rosary. With that in mind it would seem a person may pray the rosary as they normally would, and add their intention, of whatever desire, to their regular prayers and meditations of the rosary. In this case, the intentions are for the cause of respecting and preserving human life.

Another question on a similar topic: Does anyone know where to purchase the baby feet medals that I've seen on some prolife rosaries? TIA for your help.

Hi Karen, Glad we could help with the Pro-Life Rosary info. We changed the link for the little feet charm on our Make a Pro-Life Rosary page. Check there for one tiny foot for only 25 cents at the Charm Barn. Buy 2 for a rosary. Adoremus Books has 2 tiny gold electroplate feet for $3.90 My Forever Child carries a "10 toes charm" in Sterling for $6.00 We would love to see a picture of your finished rosary. God bless, - Mary
